Our Small Leather Colouring Kit from Furniture Clinic includes leather colour and the accessories needed to colour a smaller leather area, such as a car seat, sofa cushion, bag, or similar. It consists of the essential products from Furniture Clinic required for a professional job: cleaner, prep, leather colour, and finish. The kit covers approximately 1 square meter.
Contents:
- 50 ml Alcohol Cleaner
- 50 ml Ultra Clean Leather Cleaner
- 50 ml Leather Colourant
- 50 ml Leather Finish
- Sponge
- Cloth
- Step-by-step instructions for leather colouring
Instructions:
- Clean the Leather: Start by thoroughly cleaning the leather with Ultra Clean Leather Cleaner.
- Prepare the Surface: Wipe the leather with Alcohol Cleaner to remove loose colour residues and old grease and wax. This allows the new leather colour to penetrate and adhere properly, providing a solid base.
- Apply the Colour: Apply the first layer of leather colour with a sponge. For a smoother finish, you can spray additional layers with an airbrush (though this is not necessary; multiple sponge layers can also be applied). Note that the colour will appear a shade darker once it dries.
- Seal the Job: Seal the work with Leather Finish (available in Gloss, Matt, Satin, and Semi-Matt). The finish provides a protective and durable surface, as well as the desired gloss. The leather colour itself is glossy.
- Add Extra Durability: For additional durability on high-wear areas, you can add Cross Linker X to the finish.
Unsure about the shade of leather colour you need? We are happy to help with colour matching. Please send us a small sample of the leather (about 2x2 cm) with the desired colour, often cut from underneath a sofa, for example. Send the colour sample to us in an envelope and notify us via email. The cost for leather colour matching is 80 SEK.
