The ox gall in Gall Soap makes it effective against fats and oils, as gall is nature's way of breaking down fats. The gall used is a by-product from organic farming practices. The soap base consists of vegetable coconut and palm oils, organically grown in Fair Trade projects. It also contains chlorophyll, which gives the soap its green color and aids in removing grass stains. When gall comes into contact with the soap base, a reaction occurs that inhibits the growth of microorganisms. No perfume or preservatives are added, and the soap has an unlimited shelf life.
