Angelus Black Acrylic Leather Paint is a black leather dye specially developed for smooth leather materials on various products, such as clothes, shoes, saddles, and furniture. Black is an excellent color for leather as it highlights the material's character. Black also works very well on, for example, saddles. Another advantage of this dark color is that stains are barely visible, and it can be easily combined with other colors.
Applying Angelus Leather Paint
Applying Angelus black leather paint is easier than you think. It's about properly preparing the leather, for example, by using Angelus Preparer and Deglazer. If you work step by step, you'll quickly achieve a beautiful result.
-
Ensure the leather is thoroughly pre-treated, for example, with Angelus Preparer and Deglazer.
-
Apply the first layer of paint in a thin, even coat using a sponge or brush. Don't forget seams and cracks.
-
Once the first layer has dried, apply the next thin layer. Each layer takes approximately 10–15 minutes to dry before you can apply the next. Repeat until you achieve the desired result – usually three to four layers are required.
-
Allow the final layer to dry for at least 24 hours before using the painted product.
Benefits of Angelus Black Leather Paint
Using Angelus black leather paint is an excellent choice for your leather products. The painted surface becomes easy to clean, and since the paint is water-based, it's also splash-proof. This provides good protection for the leather even in poorer weather conditions.
You can order the paint in two different sizes:
-
29.5 ml jar – sufficient for a pair of leather shoes.
-
118 ml bottle – sufficient for, for example, a car seat or a leather-covered dining chair.
-
For a larger two-seater sofa, approximately 6 bottles of 118 ml are required.
The amount of Preparer and Deglazer and finisher needed is usually about half the amount of paint.
