Here's how:
- Clean the leather thoroughly with Ultra Clean leather cleaner .
- Then wipe the leather with Alcohol Cleaner , which removes loose paint residue and old grease and wax. This allows the new leather dye to penetrate and adhere to the leather, giving it a solid base.
- A first layer of leather paint is applied with a sponge . To get a smoother surface, you can spray on additional layers with an airbrush (although not necessary, you can apply several layers with a sponge). NOTE, note that the color will be a shade darker when it dries.
- The job is then sealed with Leather Finish (available in Gloss, Matt, Semi-Matt and Satin). The finish gives the leather a protective and durable surface, as well as giving the surface the desired shine. The leather color itself is glossy.
- For an extra durable surface in exposed areas , hardener Cross Linker X can be added to the surface finish.
