Convertible Restoration Kit – Redye Your Faded Soft Top
With the Convertible & Soft Top Restoration Kit from Viper Products, you get everything you need to clean and redye a faded or worn convertible soft top or boat canopy made of textile or canvas. The kit is an easy way to refresh the appearance of your convertible top and restore the color of worn fabric.
The product is suitable for both older vintage cars and modern convertibles, as well as boat canopies. The dye is easily applied by hand using a sponge and the lint-free cloths included in the kit.
Dye for Convertible and Boat Canopies in Textile and Canvas
Viper Products dye is developed for use on many different types of textiles and is suitable for, among others:
- Canvas
- Nylon
- Rayon
- Cotton
- Wool
- Other suitable textile materials
The dye penetrates the material and gives the convertible top a renewed and more even color. This makes the kit suitable when the soft top has faded due to sun, weather, and prolonged use.
Easy Redyeing of Convertible & Soft Top
You don't need any advanced tools to use the kit. First, clean the canopy according to the instructions, then apply the dye with the included sponge. The lint-free cloths make it easier to work with the dye and achieve an even result.
The Convertible Restoration Kit is a practical alternative for those who want to give a faded and worn convertible or boat canopy in textile or canvas a fresher look instead of replacing the entire soft top.
The kit is available in two sizes; the small kit is sufficient for a smaller convertible/soft top, in a two-seater smaller car, while the larger kit is estimated to be sufficient for a convertible on a four-seater car.
The Restoration Kit includes:
Includes (2-seater/4-seater)
- Canvas Cleaner (500ml/1lit)
- Viper PolyTex Textile Dye (500ml/1lit)
- Canvas Protector (500ml/1lit)
- Cleaning Brush
- Lint-free cloths
- Applicator sponges

How to use:
1. Clean the canvas of surface dirt with Canvas Cleaner and brush. No dirt or mold should remain on the surface.
2. Dampen the canvas with water, e.g., with a spray bottle, so that it is slightly moist. This allows the dye to penetrate better. Apply the first layer of dye with the enclosed lint-free cotton cloth. Work in circular motions to work the dye into the canvas.
3. Apply another layer of dye in the same way, or with a sprayer if available. Let dry for 24 hours.
4. Apply a generous amount of Textile Protector impregnator. Textile Protector forms an invisible protective barrier that prevents, for example, bird droppings from sticking. Textile Protector also makes the canvas water-repellent.
