The Alpenleder BOZEN is made from heavy full-grain buffalo leather with a thickness of approximately 1.4–1.8 mm. The leather is vegetable-tanned and treated with oil and wax to create a vibrant surface with natural color variations.

The dark brown shade Vintage Brown has a matte, lightly patinated appearance where the leather's natural texture, marks, and variations are clearly visible. This gives each backpack an individual look and an authentic vintage feel.

Over time, the leather develops further patina, giving the bag an increasingly personal character.

Traditional craftsmanship and sustainable materials

Alpenleder uses vegetable-tanned full-grain leather and traditional manufacturing methods. The leather pieces are cut by hand using templates and then sewn together by hand.

According to the manufacturer, the leather is free from chrome and heavy metals, and the metal details are nickel-free. The products meet EU REACH requirements.
