Angelus Dark Brown Acrylic Leather Paint is a dark brown leather paint specially developed for smooth leather materials on various products, such as clothing, shoes, saddles and furniture. Dark brown is an excellent color for leather because it highlights the character of the material. Dark brown also goes very well on saddles & bridles, for example. Another advantage of this dark color is that stains are barely visible, and it is easily combined with other colors.
Applying Angelus leather paint
Applying Angelus leather paint is easier than you think. It's all about preparing, "prepping", the leather properly, for example by using Angelus Preparer and Deglazer . If you work step by step, you will quickly get a beautiful result.
-
Make sure the leather is carefully pre-treated, for example with Angelus Preparer and Deglazer.
-
Apply the first coat of leather dye in a thin, even layer with a sponge or brush. Don't forget the seams and cracks.
-
Once the first coat has dried, apply another thin coat. Each coat takes an average of 10-15 minutes to dry before you can apply the next. Repeat until you achieve the desired result – usually three to four coats are required.
-
Let the final coat dry for at least 24 hours before using the painted product.
Benefits of Angelus dark brown leather dye
Using Angelus dark brown leather paint is an excellent choice for your leather products. The painted surface is easy to clean, and since the paint is water-based, it is also splash-proof. This gives the leather good protection even in poor weather conditions.
You can order the paint in two different sizes:
-
29.5 ml jar – enough for a pair of leather shoes.
-
118 ml bottle – enough for, for example, a car seat or a leather dining chair.
-
For a larger two-seater sofa, approximately 6 bottles of 118 ml are required.
The amount of Preparer and Deglazer and finisher needed is usually about half the amount of paint.
