Leather Finish | Furniture Clinic
Furniture Clinic Leather Finish is a surface finish used after dyeing a leather product to seal the colour and provide a protective and durable surface. Additionally, you can choose the gloss level you want for the leather: matte, satin, semi-gloss, or gloss. Leather Finish is water-based with a polyurethane binder. It is incredibly durable and flexible, offering superior protection against scratches and wear. For added durability, you can mix in the Cross Linker Eco hardener with the finish.
How to use Leather Finish: After dyeing with Leather Colourant, spray or sponge Leather Finish onto the surface to seal the colour. This creates a protective coating that is soft and provides the desired finish (gloss, satin, semi-gloss, or matte). The coating protects the surface and extends the leather's lifespan.
Note: Matte and semi-gloss Leather Finish can slightly lighten the colour. If you have a dark colour (e.g., black) and want to maintain the dark shade while achieving a matte finish, you can first apply a gloss finish as a base. This effect is less noticeable with lighter colours.
Note: Do not apply the surface finish over the pigmented leather balm, Leather Re-Colouring Balm. Re-Colouring Balm contains oil, which prevents the finish from adhering properly.
