Leather Colour | Medium Kit for Leather Colouring | 5 x 100 ml
Our Medium Leather Colouring Kit from Furniture Clinic includes everything needed to colour a medium-sized leather area, such as a pair of car seats, an armchair, or a few chair cushions. It consists of the essential Furniture Clinic products required for professional cleaning, preparation, colouring, and finishing: cleaner, prep, leather colourant, and a final topcoat.
Contents:
- 100 ml Leather Prep
- 100 ml Alcohol Cleaner
- 100 ml Ultra Clean
- 100 ml Leather Colourant
- 100 ml Leather Finish
- Sponge
- Cloth
How to Use:
- Clean the leather thoroughly with Ultra Clean leather cleaner.
- Remove as much of the old finish as possible with Leather Prep (Note: Do not use Leather Prep on aniline, semi-aniline, or other absorbent leathers that lack a finish).
- Wipe the leather with Alcohol Cleaner to remove any loose colour residues and old grease and wax. This allows the new leather colour to penetrate and adhere properly, providing a solid base.
- Apply the first coat of leather colourant with a sponge. For a smoother finish, you may spray additional coats with an airbrush (though this is not necessary; multiple sponge coats are also effective). Note: The colour may appear slightly darker once dried.
- Seal the work with Leather Finish (available in Gloss, Matt, Semi-Matt, and Satin). This finish provides a protective, durable surface and imparts the desired shine. The leather colourant itself is glossy.
- For extra durability on high-wear areas, you can add Cross Linker X hardener to the topcoat.
Once completed, you will have a surface that is so robust it is difficult to scratch the leather.
Unsure of the colour shade you need? We are happy to assist with colour matching. We require a small swatch of the leather (about 2x2 cm) in the desired colour (often found and cut from the underside of, for example, a sofa). Send the colour sample to us in an envelope and notify us via email. The cost for colour matching is 100 SEK.
